Climbing through 31500 ft, experienced compressor stall #2 engine, egt overtemp and engine spinning down. Shut down engine as precaution. Performed appropriate ECAM action and checklist duties. Captain chose to proceed to zurich for precautionary landing. Heavy weight landing executed by captain due to no fuel dumping capability (288000 pounds). Final approach speed 160 KTS. Longest possible runway used. Upon landing, heavy braking required and left brakes became overheated. After parking, all tires on left truck deflated.
