Narrative:
On back course approach. Last 5 flts into rno runway 34L (5 different, same make/model aircraft) above all charted altitudes and above VASI -- white/white -- the GPWS went off from outside giger inbound until 2 to 3 DME. 'Whoop/whoop, pull up -- terrain/terrain.' appears approach altitudes should be changed and possibly a maximum airspeed on final of 140 KIAS maximum at wagge. Had we been IFR -- we'd never landed. 2 of 5 approachs were VNAV/LNAV charted approachs.
