Narrative:
I was on short final on a visual approach to runway 13R at austin robert mueller and inadvertently switched on the fuel boost pumps to high (up position) and not the landing lights as intended. As I turned off the runway 13R the engines quit. The problem was discovered when the engines quit, although I was clear of the runway, I was not past the hold short lines. I informed the tower of this. I believe the factors contributing to this situation were unfamiliar aircraft. I had been flying a model X most of the time, this was a model Y. The landing lights and fuel boost pumps are reversed on the 2 aircraft.
