Narrative:

Flight departing pit at approximately PM30 at close to maximum weight -- 104000 pounds. We had to pull non-revenue and revenue stand by passenger due to weight. Crew was close to legal limits (15 hours by the time we were to land at btv). Cleared for takeoff 28R with clearance to 5000 with a turn to 360 degrees. The captain was flying. Just past V1 -- vr -- both stall recognition system sounded with stick shakers, stall lights, and both horns. The captain rotated very slowly -- I could not hear his commands over the noise. We both determined the aircraft was safely flying. I raised the gear as soon as positive rate was established. I transmitted in the blind to departure that we were climbing straight out (captain maintained full power for 2-3 mins to maintain the aircraft safety). The noise was so loud we could not think. We followed the checklist procedure in the pilot's handbook and by turning up the volume and barely muting the noise we told departure our situation and wanted an altitude and vectors to work on the situation. We were able to silence the sounds and all system went back to normal. As per air carrier operations and maintenance supervisors we continued on and landed normally at btv. Air carrier training was excellent. The captain and I handled the problem as trained. No one ever prepared us for the noise level though. Once we realized it was just a system malfunction, it took us a few mins to pull circuit breakers to silence horns. Recommendation -- 14-15 hour days are to long. We were lucky -- the WX was good -- not much traffic.

WE FOLLOWED THE CHKLIST PROC IN THE PLT'S HANDBOOK AND BY TURNING UP THE VOLUME AND BARELY MUTING THE NOISE WE TOLD DEP OUR SITUATION AND WANTED AN ALT AND VECTORS TO WORK ON THE SITUATION. WE WERE ABLE TO SILENCE THE SOUNDS AND ALL SYS WENT BACK TO NORMAL. AS PER ACR OPS AND MAINT SUPVRS WE CONTINUED ON AND LANDED NORMALLY AT BTV. ACR TRAINING WAS EXCELLENT. THE CAPT AND I HANDLED THE PROBLEM AS TRAINED. NO ONE EVER PREPARED US FOR THE NOISE LEVEL THOUGH. ONCE WE REALIZED IT WAS JUST A SYS MALFUNCTION, IT TOOK US A FEW MINS TO PULL CIRCUIT BREAKERS TO SILENCE HORNS. RECOMMENDATION -- 14-15 HR DAYS ARE TO LONG. WE WERE LUCKY -- THE WX WAS GOOD -- NOT MUCH TFC.
