Narrative:

At level off on flight on mar/wed/92, the #2 oil filter bypass light came on. The abnormal procedures were followed and the engine was shut down. A diversion was made into the closest suitable field (phx). An emergency was not declared since the WX was clear. All system were operating, and I could have restarted the engine if needed.

Title: INFLT ENG SHUTDOWN IS PERFORMED AFTER AN ANALYSIS IS MADE OF THE ACFT EQUIP PROBLEM. DIVERSION TO ALT ARPT.

Narrative: AT LEVEL OFF ON FLT ON MAR/WED/92, THE #2 OIL FILTER BYPASS LIGHT CAME ON. THE ABNORMAL PROCS WERE FOLLOWED AND THE ENG WAS SHUT DOWN. A DIVERSION WAS MADE INTO THE CLOSEST SUITABLE FIELD (PHX). AN EMER WAS NOT DECLARED SINCE THE WX WAS CLR. ALL SYS WERE OPERATING, AND I COULD HAVE RESTARTED THE ENG IF NEEDED.
