Narrative:

Attempting to back taxi for takeoff at a small uncontrolled field. Ramp 350 ft of taxiway to runway thence some 4000 ft to departure end. Steady stream of inbounds for safety meeting (!). Between third and fourth aircraft in sequence, taxied down taxiway, tried to dos-a-dos with aircraft exiting, advised on radio (unicom 122.8) but not listening. Delayed onto runway to back taxi, saw aircraft on downwind (midfield) called back taxi, asked aircraft to extend downwind, high speed taxi toward approach end. Tight 180 degrees turn in by landing aircraft. Landing caught me 2/3 of way down. Pulled off as far as snow banks permitted, and other aircraft landed on right side of runway. Pulled down to run-up pad (off runway) ahead of small aircraft Z. On final (no conflict). During entire time, none of 3 aircraft answered my calls. Of 6 who landed, 1 called 'downwind,' 1 reported 'clear of active' -- no other radio calls made or heard. Lessons: 1) don't be impatient to depart. 2) always self announce and monitor CTAF at uncontrolled fields: not everyone was born there!
