Narrative:

During cruise FL330 en route the cargo door open light came on at so panel. We checked the main panel at the 96 bulkhead and it also indicated open and the #1 drift pin light was also lighted. There was no turbulence present and the aircraft remained pressurized at 8 psi. In accordance with company procedure the outflow override switch was already in override preventing activation of the ground venturi fan and any resulting depressurization ATC center was advised of the problem, but no emergency was declared. I requested lower altitude and we extended a normal descent to 10000 ft. We elected to keep 1-2 for 0/pressure on the door to hold it in place. After 10 mins at 10000 ft (about 20 mins after problem was first noted) all warning lights went out. We continued to cvg at 10000 ft and landed without any further problems or warning lights. This door has had this problem before and was again signed off as 'ground check ok.'
