Narrative:

Flight, feb/sun/92, phs-pit, I acted as PF. Takeoff was VMC with xwinds. Rotation and climb felt normal with light turbulence from surface through most of climb phase. En route normal. Landing pit was visual to runway 28R. Touchdown was at vref for flaps in use. Touchdown was firm as to produce a bounce. Remainder of landing and rollout was normal. No indications of fuselage contact with runway at takeoff or landing. Cabin crew reported nothing unusual. I was alerted mon/feb/92 by pit chief pilot that the aircraft involved in flight was damaged significantly in the aft lower fuselage area, as if by striking the runway during takeoff or landing. Proper procedures were used throughout the flight as well as v-spds. Weight and balance data in phx was transmitted via voice.
