Narrative:

After takeoff from seattle tacoma international airport the landing gear handle was placed in the up position. The 2 main gear indicated up and locked the nose wheel showed unsafe with the associated wind noise indicating it was in the down position. The gear was cycled and the gear remained unsafe. An approach to landing was made after the gear was lowered and an all safe 3 down and locked indication in the cockpit was observed. The tower visually reported all gear down. An uneventful full stop landing was made. At the gate it was determined that a down-lock safety pin was installed in the nose gear preventing it from retracting.
