Narrative:

Air carrier X, approximately 15 mi final runway 27L, with traffic 1000 ft below, simultaneous approachs runway 27L. Air carrier X, still at 5000, said he needed to abandon the approach as a result of a TCASII alert. I told air carrier X to turn to 180 degrees and maintain 5000. A few seconds later, air carrier X said he could continue the approach. There was absolutely no reason for a TCASII alert. All aircraft were separated by 1000 ft, parallel headings.
