Narrative:

Second NASA report required on this two day trip. While taxiing out, we were sent our weights over ACARS. Captain accepted runway 28 while I was trying to check if we were legal or not based on our gross weight. Captain said 'we are going on 28' and taxied into position on 28 before I could finish calculations. He accepted takeoff and once airborne I figured we were almost 1000 pounds over weight for a runway 28 takeoff. Capts' unprofessional and careless attitude was a factor. He does not perform checklists or required duties, and I was left to complete all checklist items and computations, etc. Too much to ask in a two pilot environment on a short taxi to takeoff. Tough to watch someone who earns $140000 a yr being so reckless and unprofessional.
