Narrative:

Small aircraft X picked up an IFR clearance on V12 just past drk VOR, at 11000 ft in clouds. Was going to ask for lower as we started picking up ice in our small aircraft. At that moment we lost all electric and battery power for our communication and navigation. At that time we were flying blind and picking up 'more ice.' 5 min later we saw a break in the clouds and flew underneath the WX. We had to dodge around low WX and then followed roads until we finally landed at eed, ca, about 1 1/2 hour later. We notified FAA of our situation. We just had our alternator replaced 1 day earlier. We then flew along roads to visalia, ca.
