Narrative:

Intended 30 min local flight to exercise aircraft engine. Starboard fuel tank approximately, 25 gallons, port fuel tank approximately, 6 gallons. Fuel consumption average 15 gph. Returning to ashland airport while on right fuel tank, engine became rough. Switched fuel to left tank. Engine smoothed out. Continued flight to ashland for straight-in approach to ashland runway 12. While on final approach, engine quit due to probable lack of fuel in left tank. Continued final approach. Touched down in new vineyard and rolled 100 ft to runway 12 tarmac. Aircraft struck posts supporting vineyard pvc sprinkler water pipes. There was no major damage. Continued on runway approximately 150 ft and steered aircraft off active runway.
