Narrative:

While in transit through hawaiian airspace on an ICAO flight plan from syd-lax, I received a call from arinc advising me that our flight had penetrated a prohibited area. Since I was under radar control and in contact with the center, I questioned the controller. The controller stated that the report should not have been sent. After further review I could find no NOTAMS or charts with a prohibited area along the route. I do not know where or how such a report was sent to arinc. I can only assume the report was meant for another aircraft.
