Narrative:

I had an NTSB person on the jumpseat. I was the PNF. The jumpseater was a pilot and very friendly. I was carrying on a conversation with him and missed a frequency change. After noticing that it was quiet for a few mins, I tried to raise center with no contact. After finally locating a frequency from a list of frequencys, I was able to raise center. We had flown through 4 frequency changes. Corrective actions: I should have not let the jumpseater distract me. My first officer also should have backed up the radio calls. In the future I will monitor the radio more closely and not let anyone on the jumpseat interfere with my primary flying task.
