Narrative:

While following guideman into gate about 15 ft short of the gate I felt the aircraft vibrate and immediately the captain stopped, after which time the guideman gave him the stop signal. Captain requested the guideman establish ground communications and asked what happened. Guideman said the left wing tip had struck a maintenance platform. Guideman said he had wing walkers moving the aircraft. Maintenance arrived and told us we would be towed in the rest of the way to the gate. The aircraft was pushed backwards and then forwards to the gate.

Title: ACR TAXI TO GATE WITH GUIDEMAN AND WING WALKERS. WING TIP HITS MAINT PLATFORM.

Narrative: WHILE FOLLOWING GUIDEMAN INTO GATE ABOUT 15 FT SHORT OF THE GATE I FELT THE ACFT VIBRATE AND IMMEDIATELY THE CAPT STOPPED, AFTER WHICH TIME THE GUIDEMAN GAVE HIM THE STOP SIGNAL. CAPT REQUESTED THE GUIDEMAN ESTABLISH GND COMS AND ASKED WHAT HAPPENED. GUIDEMAN SAID THE L WING TIP HAD STRUCK A MAINT PLATFORM. GUIDEMAN SAID HE HAD WING WALKERS MOVING THE ACFT. MAINT ARRIVED AND TOLD US WE WOULD BE TOWED IN THE REST OF THE WAY TO THE GATE. THE ACFT WAS PUSHED BACKWARDS AND THEN FORWARDS TO THE GATE.
