Narrative:

TCASII equipped aircraft, operational and in TA/RA mode at time. Visual approach to 30L and cleared to land. Small aircraft on left base to 29 'has us in sight.' small aircraft on right base to 30R and has us 'in sight.' received TA's and RA's at 1000 ft on approach on both aircraft, i.e., a 'sandwich' maneuver with us in the middle. Did not accomplish a missed approach since both intruders had us in sight, but very disconcerting at this position on approach. Our company procedures require TCASII to be on until leaving 1000 ft AGL. Sjc is one of those peculiar airports that has this kind of traffic mix which could lead to unwarranted gars due to RA's.

Title: ACR MLG RECEIVED TCASII TA AND RA FROM 2 SMA ACFT MAKING VISUAL APCHS TO PARALLEL RWYS AT SJC. RPTR CALLS THIS A SANDWICH MANEUVER.

Narrative: TCASII EQUIPPED ACFT, OPERATIONAL AND IN TA/RA MODE AT TIME. VISUAL APCH TO 30L AND CLRED TO LAND. SMALL ACFT ON L BASE TO 29 'HAS US IN SIGHT.' SMALL ACFT ON R BASE TO 30R AND HAS US 'IN SIGHT.' RECEIVED TA'S AND RA'S AT 1000 FT ON APCH ON BOTH ACFT, I.E., A 'SANDWICH' MANEUVER WITH US IN THE MIDDLE. DID NOT ACCOMPLISH A MISSED APCH SINCE BOTH INTRUDERS HAD US IN SIGHT, BUT VERY DISCONCERTING AT THIS POS ON APCH. OUR COMPANY PROCS REQUIRE TCASII TO BE ON UNTIL LEAVING 1000 FT AGL. SJC IS ONE OF THOSE PECULIAR ARPTS THAT HAS THIS KIND OF TFC MIX WHICH COULD LEAD TO UNWARRANTED GARS DUE TO RA'S.
