Narrative:

The pomona 6 SID was given us to depart ontario, ca, airport. Crossing restriction on the SID is below 8000 ft at pom VORTAC and is shown as 8000 with a line drawn above it. However, the data for pom VORTAC is enclosed by a box. The edge of the box on our chart was printed so closely to the line above the 8000 that they blended together. Consequently, the crossing restriction was not noticed and we crossed pom above 8000 ft.

Narrative: THE POMONA 6 SID WAS GIVEN US TO DEPART ONTARIO, CA, ARPT. XING RESTRICTION ON THE SID IS BELOW 8000 FT AT POM VORTAC AND IS SHOWN AS 8000 WITH A LINE DRAWN ABOVE IT. HOWEVER, THE DATA FOR POM VORTAC IS ENCLOSED BY A BOX. THE EDGE OF THE BOX ON OUR CHART WAS PRINTED SO CLOSELY TO THE LINE ABOVE THE 8000 THAT THEY BLENDED TOGETHER. CONSEQUENTLY, THE XING RESTRICTION WAS NOT NOTICED AND WE CROSSED POM ABOVE 8000 FT.
