Narrative:
IMC at 4000 ft with final approach controller for runway 28L at pit. Heading 070 degrees (angling in toward runway 28L centerline). Air carrier Y was on ILS to runway 28L. TA and RA came close together (within about 7-8 seconds). Controller was busy and did not acknowledge our advisement that we had left our altitude in response to an RA. He sounded unconcerned and gave us a left vector to intercept ILS 28L localizer. Air carrier Y may have had TCASII also.
