Narrative:

Started snowing at bos on pushback taxi out. Visibility was going down rapidly. Takeoff runway takeoff mins were 900/1. Previous ATIS was 1600 overcast, 1 mi s-. ATIS was in process of being changed. When ready for takeoff, only RVR for landing runway was available (3500 RVR). After departure, ATIS was heard and below takeoff mins. Landing runway was different than departure runway so RVR report was disregarded in favor of previous (last) ATIS received. Supplemental information from acn 197230: we twice tried during rest of taxi out and up to time of departure to get ATIS.
