Cleared to 28000 ft with crossing traffic at 29000. Light aircraft, high of climb. Cockpit door jammed open causing distraction. Altitude alert chime too soft, hard to hear. Third leg with no dinner. Flew through assigned altitude 28000 ft by about 500 ft. Center advised return to assigned immediately. TCASII gave TA (300 ft above 5 mi ahead right to left). Pushed over and returned to assigned altitude.
