Narrative:

One of the aircraft was on a radar vector to provide intrail spacing to phx. I failed to monitor the effects of the winds on the assigned heading while I was concentrating on the intrail spacing of 2 other aircraft. During this time the wind was producing a ground track which placed this aircraft in conflict with an uninvolved aircraft (not in the phx flow). When I did observe the situation, another aircraft was talking on frequency and reduced the amount of time available to attempt to maintain separation. This was a one person sector, although an additional person may have helped, probably it would not have. Traffic volume: moderate.

Title: ARTCC CTLR VECTORING AN ACR FOR SPACING INTO PHX HAD LTSS WITH A CORP ACFT ON XING RWY.

Narrative: ONE OF THE ACFT WAS ON A RADAR VECTOR TO PROVIDE INTRAIL SPACING TO PHX. I FAILED TO MONITOR THE EFFECTS OF THE WINDS ON THE ASSIGNED HDG WHILE I WAS CONCENTRATING ON THE INTRAIL SPACING OF 2 OTHER ACFT. DURING THIS TIME THE WIND WAS PRODUCING A GND TRACK WHICH PLACED THIS ACFT IN CONFLICT WITH AN UNINVOLVED ACFT (NOT IN THE PHX FLOW). WHEN I DID OBSERVE THE SITUATION, ANOTHER ACFT WAS TALKING ON FREQ AND REDUCED THE AMOUNT OF TIME AVAILABLE TO ATTEMPT TO MAINTAIN SEPARATION. THIS WAS A ONE PERSON SECTOR, ALTHOUGH AN ADDITIONAL PERSON MAY HAVE HELPED, PROBABLY IT WOULD NOT HAVE. TFC VOLUME: MODERATE.
