Narrative:

In pattern at mlb, fl, cleared by patrick AFB approach control for ILS 9R approach. Vectored towards final approach course, idented, verified and intercepted localizer GS on ILS runway 9R MB. Proceeded to do landing (gump) checklist. Placed landing gear down and 3 green lights were seen in cockpit and nose gear was verified as down in pilot's mirror on engine on pilot's side of plane. Then transferred to medium large transport tower control from patrick AFB approach control. Was told to report sqt satellite NDB identifier inbound. On approach arrived at sqt and notified medium large transport tower. Rechked and verified 3 green landing lights and nose gear down in mirror as called out by safety pilot/pas. Normal landing. I touched down on main landing gear and then nose wheel touched down on runway momentarily on landing. The nose gear collapsed on roll out and aircraft slid to a stop on runway. I think that the nose gear locking pin was bent somehow and the landing gear was down but not fully locked in place. I think that the airplane an small aircraft should have had the nose gear designed to come down and extend into the wind so when the plane with the wind force would push the gear to it's extended position and hold it in place instead of coming down towards the wind. Maybe a possible safety bulletin to check nose gear assembly for wear.

Title: NOSE GEAR OF SMA TWIN COLLAPSED ON ROLLOUT AFTER LNDG AT MLG.

Narrative: IN PATTERN AT MLB, FL, CLRED BY PATRICK AFB APCH CTL FOR ILS 9R APCH. VECTORED TOWARDS FINAL APCH COURSE, IDENTED, VERIFIED AND INTERCEPTED LOC GS ON ILS RWY 9R MB. PROCEEDED TO DO LNDG (GUMP) CHKLIST. PLACED LNDG GEAR DOWN AND 3 GREEN LIGHTS WERE SEEN IN COCKPIT AND NOSE GEAR WAS VERIFIED AS DOWN IN PLT'S MIRROR ON ENG ON PLT'S SIDE OF PLANE. THEN TRANSFERRED TO MLG TWR CTL FROM PATRICK AFB APCH CTL. WAS TOLD TO RPT SQT SATELLITE NDB IDENTIFIER INBOUND. ON APCH ARRIVED AT SQT AND NOTIFIED MLG TWR. RECHKED AND VERIFIED 3 GREEN LNDG LIGHTS AND NOSE GEAR DOWN IN MIRROR AS CALLED OUT BY SAFETY PLT/PAS. NORMAL LNDG. I TOUCHED DOWN ON MAIN LNDG GEAR AND THEN NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN ON RWY MOMENTARILY ON LNDG. THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED ON ROLL OUT AND ACFT SLID TO A STOP ON RWY. I THINK THAT THE NOSE GEAR LOCKING PIN WAS BENT SOMEHOW AND THE LNDG GEAR WAS DOWN BUT NOT FULLY LOCKED IN PLACE. I THINK THAT THE AIRPLANE AN SMA SHOULD HAVE HAD THE NOSE GEAR DESIGNED TO COME DOWN AND EXTEND INTO THE WIND SO WHEN THE PLANE WITH THE WIND FORCE WOULD PUSH THE GEAR TO IT'S EXTENDED POS AND HOLD IT IN PLACE INSTEAD OF COMING DOWN TOWARDS THE WIND. MAYBE A POSSIBLE SAFETY BULLETIN TO CHK NOSE GEAR ASSEMBLY FOR WEAR.
