Narrative:

Took automated handoff from mgw low sector on small transport X at 15000 ft, and light transport Y 17000 descending to 16000. Mgw low sector advised me on line that light transport Y requesting descent to 13000 ft. I told mgw low controller to leave small transport X on assigned heading 155 degrees and I would descend light transport Y when clear. When light transport Y diverged from small transport X by 6 mi I cleared light transport Y to descend to 13000 ft. 40 seconds later I observed small transport X tracking eastbound. Asked his heading. He said 100 degrees on V44. I reassigned the heading 155 degrees and he passed 4 mi behind light transport Y.

Narrative: TOOK AUTOMATED HDOF FROM MGW LOW SECTOR ON SMT X AT 15000 FT, AND LTT Y 17000 DSNDING TO 16000. MGW LOW SECTOR ADVISED ME ON LINE THAT LTT Y REQUESTING DSCNT TO 13000 FT. I TOLD MGW LOW CTLR TO LEAVE SMT X ON ASSIGNED HDG 155 DEGS AND I WOULD DSND LTT Y WHEN CLR. WHEN LTT Y DIVERGED FROM SMT X BY 6 MI I CLRED LTT Y TO DSND TO 13000 FT. 40 SECONDS LATER I OBSERVED SMT X TRACKING EBOUND. ASKED HIS HDG. HE SAID 100 DEGS ON V44. I REASSIGNED THE HDG 155 DEGS AND HE PASSED 4 MI BEHIND LTT Y.
