Narrative:

On oct/xx/91, I was a passenger on flight bwi-den and seated in cabin. We left the gate approximately on time and were cleared for takeoff on runway 28. After power was at takeoff setting for approximately 10 seconds, the pilot pulled off the power and began heavy applications of brakes. We were able to turn off the runway on the last taxiway prior to the intersection of runways 28 and 33L. As we turned off the runway, an MTR on a landing roll on runway 33L passed through the intersection. If we had not vacated the runway, the aircraft would have collided in the intersection. WX was VFR and not a factor. Reporter evaluation: ATC error compounded by tall trees blocking view of approach end of 33L from departure end of 28.
