Narrative:

After being changed from clt departure control to atl center, I started cleaning the small glass windows on the communication radios that display the selected frequency. They were dirty and the sun was reflecting off them and the frequency was hard to see. While doing my house cleaning, I mistuned our active ATC frequency and it was some time before I figured out we were off frequency and got us back in radio contact with atl center. I also knocked the altitude reporting switch on the transponder to off and was asked to reset it. I've done just about all the house cleaning I'm going to do while in the air.
