Narrative:

After being cleared for the visual approach to runway 6R by anchorage approach (118.6), I was instructed to contact anchorage tower on 118.3. On my initial call to (anc) tower, I stated that I was cleared for the visual approach to runway 6R at which time anchorage tower cleared me to land on runway 6R, and to follow an mdt that was 4 mi ahead for runway 6L. I acknowledged that I was cleared to land on runway 6R. Tower then questioned me on how much snow there was in kenia, ak, and I replied 4-6 inches and was starting to rain. We continued the approach to runway 6R and upon rolling out, tower seemed to question my position on runway 6R. He admittingly stated that he thought he had cleared me to land on runway 6L. I reminded him that I was cleared for the visual approach to runway 6R and was cleared to land on the right to follow an mdt 4 mi ahead for 6L. I was then instructed to cross runway 6L and to contact ground to parking. After contacting ground we proceeded to parking without further incident. I think that as tower cleared me to land on runway 6R and to follow traffic 4 mi ahead for runway 6L, he may have thought that he had cleared me to land on 6L. The question, tower asking me about the amount of snow in kenia, may have clouded his memory also as to which runway he cleared me to land on. I distinctively remember being cleared to land on runway 6R because I dialed up the runway 6R localizer as a way for me to verify which runway to land on. Also tower had an aircraft holding short of runway 6R downfield awaiting our arrival so as he could cross 6R from taxiway delta to south airpark. In the future, I will continue to read back clrncs and omit any unnecessary conversations while on approachs with the controling agency.

Title: ATCT LCL CTLR IMPLIED THE ALLEGATION THAT FLT HAD LANDED ON WRONG RWY FROM THE VISUAL APCH.

Narrative: AFTER BEING CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH TO RWY 6R BY ANCHORAGE APCH (118.6), I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT ANCHORAGE TWR ON 118.3. ON MY INITIAL CALL TO (ANC) TWR, I STATED THAT I WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH TO RWY 6R AT WHICH TIME ANCHORAGE TWR CLRED ME TO LAND ON RWY 6R, AND TO FOLLOW AN MDT THAT WAS 4 MI AHEAD FOR RWY 6L. I ACKNOWLEDGED THAT I WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 6R. TWR THEN QUESTIONED ME ON HOW MUCH SNOW THERE WAS IN KENIA, AK, AND I REPLIED 4-6 INCHES AND WAS STARTING TO RAIN. WE CONTINUED THE APCH TO RWY 6R AND UPON ROLLING OUT, TWR SEEMED TO QUESTION MY POS ON RWY 6R. HE ADMITTINGLY STATED THAT HE THOUGHT HE HAD CLRED ME TO LAND ON RWY 6L. I REMINDED HIM THAT I WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH TO RWY 6R AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON THE R TO FOLLOW AN MDT 4 MI AHEAD FOR 6L. I WAS THEN INSTRUCTED TO CROSS RWY 6L AND TO CONTACT GND TO PARKING. AFTER CONTACTING GND WE PROCEEDED TO PARKING WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. I THINK THAT AS TWR CLRED ME TO LAND ON RWY 6R AND TO FOLLOW TFC 4 MI AHEAD FOR RWY 6L, HE MAY HAVE THOUGHT THAT HE HAD CLRED ME TO LAND ON 6L. THE QUESTION, TWR ASKING ME ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF SNOW IN KENIA, MAY HAVE CLOUDED HIS MEMORY ALSO AS TO WHICH RWY HE CLRED ME TO LAND ON. I DISTINCTIVELY REMEMBER BEING CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 6R BECAUSE I DIALED UP THE RWY 6R LOC AS A WAY FOR ME TO VERIFY WHICH RWY TO LAND ON. ALSO TWR HAD AN ACFT HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 6R DOWNFIELD AWAITING OUR ARR SO AS HE COULD CROSS 6R FROM TAXIWAY DELTA TO S AIRPARK. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL CONTINUE TO READ BACK CLRNCS AND OMIT ANY UNNECESSARY CONVERSATIONS WHILE ON APCHS WITH THE CTLING AGENCY.
