Narrative:
While taxiing the aircraft, the left wing struck a small, low- lying fuel truck which was parked on the taxiway/ramp. The pilot failed to maintain vigilance outside the cockpit while tuning a radio. The pilot's feeling of safety when taxiing on the center of the appropriately marked area contributed to the lack of vigilance. The fact that the fuel truck was low-lying and drab in color also contributed to the collision.
