Narrative:

Upon arriving at dayton (day) airport we were cleared for a visual approach to runway 24R abeam the landing runway on a right downwind. We were fully configured for landing approximately 3 mi from runway on final. The winds were gusty (240/23 gust 33). The VASI and GS were flown down to landing. Just prior to touchdown the throttles were reduced to idle thrust and the flare initiated. The aircraft continued to descend to a hard landing and bounced. The automatic spoilers were armed and deployed prior to the second touchdown. A second small flare was initiated prior to the second touchdown but the deployed spoilers made for another hard landing. The aircraft was stopped normally and taxied to parking. When the so performed his walk around he discovered the tail skid had impacted the runway during landing and part of the lower aft VHF antenna was bent. No other damage or injuries were noted. The aircraft remained at dayton until it could be inspected/repaired.

Title: ACR LGT FRT ACFT DAMAGED TAIL SKID ON LNDG AT DAY.

Narrative: UPON ARRIVING AT DAYTON (DAY) ARPT WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 24R ABEAM THE LNDG RWY ON A R DOWNWIND. WE WERE FULLY CONFIGURED FOR LNDG APPROX 3 MI FROM RWY ON FINAL. THE WINDS WERE GUSTY (240/23 GUST 33). THE VASI AND GS WERE FLOWN DOWN TO LNDG. JUST PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN THE THROTTLES WERE REDUCED TO IDLE THRUST AND THE FLARE INITIATED. THE ACFT CONTINUED TO DSND TO A HARD LNDG AND BOUNCED. THE AUTO SPOILERS WERE ARMED AND DEPLOYED PRIOR TO THE SECOND TOUCHDOWN. A SECOND SMALL FLARE WAS INITIATED PRIOR TO THE SECOND TOUCHDOWN BUT THE DEPLOYED SPOILERS MADE FOR ANOTHER HARD LNDG. THE ACFT WAS STOPPED NORMALLY AND TAXIED TO PARKING. WHEN THE SO PERFORMED HIS WALK AROUND HE DISCOVERED THE TAIL SKID HAD IMPACTED THE RWY DURING LNDG AND PART OF THE LOWER AFT VHF ANTENNA WAS BENT. NO OTHER DAMAGE OR INJURIES WERE NOTED. THE ACFT REMAINED AT DAYTON UNTIL IT COULD BE INSPECTED/REPAIRED.
