Narrative:

At an indicated speed of 300 KTS, crew did not notice 250 KIAS speed restriction at mhf on the gileo 1 arrival to hou. I think this was easier overlooked by the absence of a speed restriction collocated with the gilco international altitude advise. Perhaps the chart plate could be slightly revised to make the 250 KT mhf restriction easier to spot. The restriction was brought to our attention by houston approach.

Title: FLC OF LGT OVERLOOKED SPD RESTRICTION AS NOTED ON APCH CHART. EXCEEDED SPD RESTRICTION.

Narrative: AT AN INDICATED SPD OF 300 KTS, CREW DID NOT NOTICE 250 KIAS SPD RESTRICTION AT MHF ON THE GILEO 1 ARR TO HOU. I THINK THIS WAS EASIER OVERLOOKED BY THE ABSENCE OF A SPD RESTRICTION COLLOCATED WITH THE GILCO INTL ALT ADVISE. PERHAPS THE CHART PLATE COULD BE SLIGHTLY REVISED TO MAKE THE 250 KT MHF RESTRICTION EASIER TO SPOT. THE RESTRICTION WAS BROUGHT TO OUR ATTN BY HOUSTON APCH.
