Narrative:
Air carrier X departed birmingham, municipal airport and reported on frequency. I instructed air carrier X to climb and maintain 100 (ten thousand), turn left heading 360, direct rocket VORTAC when able. Atlanta center called and told me to stop air carrier X at 12000 ft. I acknowledged noticing air carrier X passing 11000. Air carrier X acknowledged my instruction to stop at 12000. I then switched air carrier X to atlanta center. No other aircraft were effected. Later I reviewed the tape, and found air carrier X had read back (15000) on the initial climb instruction.
