Narrative:

We were inbound to pensacola. Descending from 9000 to 6000, heading 270, pns approach called traffic at 12 O'clock at 10 mi at an altitude of 7000. Approach turned us to a heading of 240 to avoid the called traffic. As we turned through 250, TCASII alerted us to new (pop-up) traffic at 12 O'clock, 2 mi, at our altitude. Due to haze, we were unable to see the new traffic, and we were unable to get a hold of approach due to radio traffic. TCASII gave a RA indicated by a red band on the vsi from 4000 FPM climb to 3000 FPM descent. We climbed to 8300 ft before the TCASII gave the all clear. There was no green band indicated. We advised ATC, he replied he did not see the traffic. We landed at pns.
