Narrative:
While level at 11000 we were given a clearance, 'slow to 210 KTS and descend to 6000.' at approximately 10300 ft we were given a climb back to 11000 ft with no explanation. A phone call to TRACON on the ground later indicated a communication mixup. We were air carrier X gec and the clearance was meant for air carrier Y aaec. Air carrier Y did not descend, we did. I think we were given their clearance!
