Narrative:

We were focused in on air carrier Y we were trying to keep in sight in hazy conditions. Upon seeing Y we were to be cleared for visual to 18R. Approach control was giving us several traffic reports on the position of air carrier Y we were to follow. We were able to locate air carrier Y once we were established on a base turn for the runway, just outside the OM. Approach control then cleared us for the visual, but never handed us over to the tower. At the marker, we performed our final checklist for landing and failed to switch over to tower for landing clearance. On the ground we changed over to tower frequency and reported our situation to him and he acknowledged that there was no problem.
