Narrative:

On sep/sat/91 at approximately PM20Z, I entered the traffic pattern at herbert smart airport at macon, GA. I correctly reported entering the downwind leg, base leg, final approach, and also reported on short final approach. All reports were made on unicom frequency. An small aircraft was in the pattern also. The small aircraft Y reported crosswind when I was on final approach to runway 10. When I was almost over the numbers of runway 10, the small aircraft descended from above me. I reduced airspeed and altitude as much as safely possible to avoid a collision. The left rear quadrant of the small aircraft elevator struck my right propeller blade. Propeller damage was very minor (cosmetic only). If the small aircraft pilot had correctly reported his position in the pattern and had paid attention to my position, this incident would not have occurred. There were no injuries and very minor damage.

Title: AN ACTUAL COLLISION BTWN 2 SMAS AS SIMULTANEOUS LNDG TFC ON THE SAME RWY. VISIBILITY REDUCED SUN POS. BOTH ACFT SUFFER MINOR DAMAGE.

Narrative: ON SEP/SAT/91 AT APPROX PM20Z, I ENTERED THE TFC PATTERN AT HERBERT SMART ARPT AT MACON, GA. I CORRECTLY RPTED ENTERING THE DOWNWIND LEG, BASE LEG, FINAL APCH, AND ALSO RPTED ON SHORT FINAL APCH. ALL RPTS WERE MADE ON UNICOM FREQ. AN SMA WAS IN THE PATTERN ALSO. THE SMA Y RPTED XWIND WHEN I WAS ON FINAL APCH TO RWY 10. WHEN I WAS ALMOST OVER THE NUMBERS OF RWY 10, THE SMA DSNDED FROM ABOVE ME. I REDUCED AIRSPD AND ALT AS MUCH AS SAFELY POSSIBLE TO AVOID A COLLISION. THE L REAR QUADRANT OF THE SMA ELEVATOR STRUCK MY R PROP BLADE. PROP DAMAGE WAS VERY MINOR (COSMETIC ONLY). IF THE SMA PLT HAD CORRECTLY RPTED HIS POS IN THE PATTERN AND HAD PAID ATTN TO MY POS, THIS INCIDENT WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND VERY MINOR DAMAGE.
