Narrative:

Air carrier X was requesting direct psk. I realized at this time that air carrier X needed to be handed off to atl center. I completed a manual handoff to atl center on air carrier X climbing to FL200. Air carrier X was climbing wbound from rdu airport over lib abell international psk etc. At XXXX ZDC's computer went into the darc mode. Manual handoffs were necessary and flight plan information via the printers was coming out of the wrong printers. Distracts were acquiring and I was concerned about not having my areas map on the adjacent sector. Also the F area was in a midnight confign (all sectors were combined at 1 sector). And this required a radar range of 150 mi.
