Narrative:
Arriving to lax on the sadde 4 arrival, we were cleared from smo VOR for the stadium visual and a visual to 24R lax. Upon turning base over the stadium, I lost sight of the north complex runways due to the sun and haze and overshot runway 24R centerline. By the time I started turning back towards the runway, we were approximately midway between the north and south complex. At no time was any evasive action taken by myself or any other aircraft.

Narrative: ARRIVING TO LAX ON THE SADDE 4 ARR, WE WERE CLRED FROM SMO VOR FOR THE STADIUM VISUAL AND A VISUAL TO 24R LAX. UPON TURNING BASE OVER THE STADIUM, I LOST SIGHT OF THE N COMPLEX RWYS DUE TO THE SUN AND HAZE AND OVERSHOT RWY 24R CENTERLINE. BY THE TIME I STARTED TURNING BACK TOWARDS THE RWY, WE WERE APPROX MIDWAY BTWN THE N AND S COMPLEX. AT NO TIME WAS ANY EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN BY MYSELF OR ANY OTHER ACFT.
