Narrative:

On aug/mon/91 I was accused of departing fairbanks international airport on taxiway alpha. At the time I was operating an small transport twin. I taxied from my employer's base of operations located on the east ramp, to fairbanks international's gate 1 area on the west side of the airport at XX45 am. After loading 7 passenger, I called ground control for taxi instructions. I was instructed to proceed to runway 1L via taxiway alpha. At that time I requested runway 1L intersection bravo departure and was told to proceed as requested. After taxiing to the runway, I called the tower letting them know I was ready for departure. I was then cleared for runway 1L departure at intersection bravo and proceeded to takeoff from runway 1L. When I returned to fairbanks the FAA alleged I took off from taxiway alpha. A tug operator at intersection microphone, 1450 ft to the north of intersection bravo, reported the alleged incident. The small transport twin I was plting has a takeoff run, at maximum gross weight of 665 ft. The tower did not see nor report the alleged incident. I feel I have been wrongly accused. I am filing this report to protect my aviation career and to possibly prevent other pilots from the same accusation by suggesting full-length departures.
