Narrative:

Ord ATIS advertising landing on 27L and right however, we were given 22R for landing. Normal landing and exited on high speed before intersection of 27R. Normally tower tells us to cross 27R- 9L and taxi to parking, but today did not. I called this to the captain's attention but he continued to taxi, crossing 27R-9L and said that we did not need a clearance to cross the runway. I was finally able to contact tower on the other side of 27R-9L and they cleared us to the gate with no comment on us crossing an active runway without clearance. Unless I am reading far 91.129 (H) wrong, a landing clearance is not a clearance to cross other active runways or even continue to taxi to the gate. I think this captain is so used to getting the clearance to cross 27R-9L to the gate, that he assumes it is authorized even if not issued. We were just lucky that their was not anyone landing on 27R at the time.

Narrative: ORD ATIS ADVERTISING LNDG ON 27L AND R HOWEVER, WE WERE GIVEN 22R FOR LNDG. NORMAL LNDG AND EXITED ON HIGH SPD BEFORE INTXN OF 27R. NORMALLY TWR TELLS US TO CROSS 27R- 9L AND TAXI TO PARKING, BUT TODAY DID NOT. I CALLED THIS TO THE CAPT'S ATTN BUT HE CONTINUED TO TAXI, XING 27R-9L AND SAID THAT WE DID NOT NEED A CLRNC TO CROSS THE RWY. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO CONTACT TWR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF 27R-9L AND THEY CLRED US TO THE GATE WITH NO COMMENT ON US XING AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC. UNLESS I AM READING FAR 91.129 (H) WRONG, A LNDG CLRNC IS NOT A CLRNC TO CROSS OTHER ACTIVE RWYS OR EVEN CONTINUE TO TAXI TO THE GATE. I THINK THIS CAPT IS SO USED TO GETTING THE CLRNC TO CROSS 27R-9L TO THE GATE, THAT HE ASSUMES IT IS AUTHORIZED EVEN IF NOT ISSUED. WE WERE JUST LUCKY THAT THEIR WAS NOT ANYONE LNDG ON 27R AT THE TIME.
