Narrative:

On approach to yyz descending to 8000 ft MSL in heavy rain/moderate turbulence (IMC) a GPWS warning 'terrain-terrain- whoop-whoop pull up' (mode 2) was heard. I was considering a go around due to WX and upon this warning I elected to go around and climb. (In accordance with company procedure) airspeed +/- 30 knots/vsi +/- 2000 FPM. During go around maneuver we were vectored into a 'squall line' by approach. (Trust me...). After we were told we would be turned prior to the squall line. Approach appeared not to have 'the big picture' as multiple aircraft were taking their own action to avoid WX. After were told that we would be vectored prior to WX and made our go around. Approach stated they weren't painting any WX. Supplemental information from acn 183463. At the same time, a turn away from the thunderstorm was started. TCAS was used to ensure safe traffic separation.
