Narrative:

After landing on runway 8L, on roll-out was cleared by tower to cross 8R at the 'air carrier jet center.' I assumed that terminology meant the air carrier hangar which was correct. This involves turning off on B11 to B6 to E11. Upon entering B6 with clearance to cross 8R, the first officer and I could not see the entrance to E11. The tower cleared us to back taxi down the runway and exit at 'D'. The tower was extremely helpful throughout this problem. However, I believe that those unfamiliar with B6/8R/E11 should be very careful. Due to the runway gradient coupled with the angle of E11 sharply to the left it makes it very hard to see. This is especially true at night (it was VFR). Should fog enter in the equation, it is a possible accident awaiting someone. I feel it should be better marked or lighted. My thanks to atl tower for their vigilance and assistance.

Title: ACR MLG FLC ENCOUNTERS DIFFICULTIES IDENTING TAXIWAY E11 AT ATL.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 8L, ON ROLL-OUT WAS CLRED BY TWR TO CROSS 8R AT THE 'ACR JET CENTER.' I ASSUMED THAT TERMINOLOGY MEANT THE ACR HANGAR WHICH WAS CORRECT. THIS INVOLVES TURNING OFF ON B11 TO B6 TO E11. UPON ENTERING B6 WITH CLRNC TO CROSS 8R, THE FO AND I COULD NOT SEE THE ENTRANCE TO E11. THE TWR CLRED US TO BACK TAXI DOWN THE RWY AND EXIT AT 'D'. THE TWR WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL THROUGHOUT THIS PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THAT THOSE UNFAMILIAR WITH B6/8R/E11 SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL. DUE TO THE RWY GRADIENT COUPLED WITH THE ANGLE OF E11 SHARPLY TO THE L IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO SEE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE AT NIGHT (IT WAS VFR). SHOULD FOG ENTER IN THE EQUATION, IT IS A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT AWAITING SOMEONE. I FEEL IT SHOULD BE BETTER MARKED OR LIGHTED. MY THANKS TO ATL TWR FOR THEIR VIGILANCE AND ASSISTANCE.
