Narrative:

En route from burlington to ny laguardia we were advised by ATC of traffic at 12 O'clock and picked him up on the TCAS. He remained at 12 O'clock 400' below us and triggered a RA for us to climb. We climbed about 700' and were cleared of the conflict. It appears the TCAS system is working well. Also the climb caused no other conflicts with other aircraft, and we advised ATC of our intentions to deviation.
