Narrative:
While intercepting the taxi line for self-park into gate, we came to an abrupt stop about 3' short of the medium large transport's stop mark. Upon investigation we found that the left #1 engine struck a tug that was parked in the wrong spot. Being a first officer, I feel that it's my job to ensure that the right side is always clear, so I did not see the tug on the left.

Title: ACR MLG HIT A TUG WITH THE LEFT ENGINE POD WHILE TAXIING TO THE GATE AT PIT.
Narrative: WHILE INTERCEPTING THE TAXI LINE FOR SELF-PARK INTO GATE, WE CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP ABOUT 3' SHORT OF THE MLG'S STOP MARK. UPON INVESTIGATION WE FOUND THAT THE LEFT #1 ENG STRUCK A TUG THAT WAS PARKED IN THE WRONG SPOT. BEING A F/O, I FEEL THAT IT'S MY JOB TO ENSURE THAT THE RIGHT SIDE IS ALWAYS CLR, SO I DID NOT SEE THE TUG ON THE LEFT.
