Narrative:

While flying downwind in the traffic pattern at 3KM, our aircraft and an mlt got a little close to each other as he was flying into mcconnell AFB. We were flying at the 1000' AGL traffic pattern in accordance with the aim at 24000' MSL. Turns out tpa for 3KM is 700' AGL--at least it says so in commercial flight guide. But it also says the military traffic is at 3000' MSL, too. Is a non standard tpa (suggested 700' AGL at 3KL) regulatory or mandatory? If so, this information should be more explicitly outlined in the far/aim and posted on the commercial chart airport diagram. Meantime, I'll check the flight guide more often for my airport of intended landing.

Title: IN TRAFFIC PATTERN AT NON TWR ARPT, HAS CONFLICT WITH MLT IN TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR NEARBY AFB.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING DOWNWIND IN THE TFC PATTERN AT 3KM, OUR ACFT AND AN MLT GOT A LITTLE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER AS HE WAS FLYING INTO MCCONNELL AFB. WE WERE FLYING AT THE 1000' AGL TFC PATTERN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AIM AT 24000' MSL. TURNS OUT TPA FOR 3KM IS 700' AGL--AT LEAST IT SAYS SO IN COMMERCIAL FLT GUIDE. BUT IT ALSO SAYS THE MIL TFC IS AT 3000' MSL, TOO. IS A NON STANDARD TPA (SUGGESTED 700' AGL AT 3KL) REGULATORY OR MANDATORY? IF SO, THIS INFO SHOULD BE MORE EXPLICITLY OUTLINED IN THE FAR/AIM AND POSTED ON THE COMMERCIAL CHART ARPT DIAGRAM. MEANTIME, I'LL CHK THE FLT GUIDE MORE OFTEN FOR MY ARPT OF INTENDED LNDG.
