Narrative:

I left the flight deck to go to the lav. While I was in the back I discussed a minor passenger problem with the F/a. I was gone about 5 mins. About 20 mins after I returned, I became concerned that ATC hadn't contacted us for awhile. I wasn't concerned sooner because I had heard continuous xmissions between ATC and other aircraft. When I called ATC they didn't know who we were on that frequency. When I called the correct frequency, they gave us an immediate turn and descent.
