Narrative:

Prior to departure of flight for tul to dfw fuel on board was confirmed as 15700#. Release fuel was 15669#. ACARS unit was checked and fuel on board was entered 15700#. On descent to dfw, dispatch advised by ACARS printer that ACARS departure fuel had been recorded as 15500#. We radioed dispatch destination 2 to advise them fuel had been 15700# and 15500# was incorrect. Dispatcher said he'd update computer records. On the ground in dfw, captain again called dispatch to ensure message was understood and release fuel was on board the aircraft prior to departure. Dispatcher stated historical records were updated.

Title: ACARS INFORMATION ERRONEOUSLY INDICATED THAT ACFT HAD TAKEN OFF WITH INSUFFICIENT FUEL ON BOARD.

Narrative: PRIOR TO DEP OF FLT FOR TUL TO DFW FUEL ON BOARD WAS CONFIRMED AS 15700#. RELEASE FUEL WAS 15669#. ACARS UNIT WAS CHKED AND FUEL ON BOARD WAS ENTERED 15700#. ON DSNT TO DFW, DISPATCH ADVISED BY ACARS PRINTER THAT ACARS DEP FUEL HAD BEEN RECORDED AS 15500#. WE RADIOED DISPATCH DEST 2 TO ADVISE THEM FUEL HAD BEEN 15700# AND 15500# WAS INCORRECT. DISPATCHER SAID HE'D UPDATE COMPUTER RECORDS. ON THE GND IN DFW, CAPT AGAIN CALLED DISPATCH TO ENSURE MESSAGE WAS UNDERSTOOD AND RELEASE FUEL WAS ON BOARD THE ACFT PRIOR TO DEP. DISPATCHER STATED HISTORICAL RECORDS WERE UPDATED.
