Narrative:

Landing distance for the conditions on the day of the incident were slightly less than the total hard runway length. Heavier braking from the start and exiting the runway 10' sooner would have prevented hitting a ditch adjacent to the runway end and subsequently a fence post with the right wing. The nose wheel collapsed and the propellers struck the dirt. The fence post produced a 3' dent in the leading edge of right-hand wing.

Title: CPR SMT PLT EXPERIENCES RWY EXCURSION WHILE LNDG ON SHORT RWY.

Narrative: LNDG DISTANCE FOR THE CONDITIONS ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT WERE SLIGHTLY LESS THAN THE TOTAL HARD RWY LENGTH. HEAVIER BRAKING FROM THE START AND EXITING THE RWY 10' SOONER WOULD HAVE PREVENTED HITTING A DITCH ADJACENT TO THE RWY END AND SUBSEQUENTLY A FENCE POST WITH THE RIGHT WING. THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED AND THE PROPS STRUCK THE DIRT. THE FENCE POST PRODUCED A 3' DENT IN THE LEADING EDGE OF RIGHT-HAND WING.
