Narrative:

Aircraft was being taxied to gate. Approximately 6-10' from what looked to be the final stop, the ground crew with the batons signalled an immediate stop and gave the signal to cut engines. Engines were shut down. Aircraft had struck a baggage loader with the #2 engine pod. Engine is not visible from cockpit. Ground crew man said he was watching a catering truck and had not been watching the baggage loader. Incident occurred due to heavy congestion on ramp and perhaps an over-zealous driver on the bag loader. Equipment was not visible from cockpit.
