Narrative:

During en route climb to FL350, and after a couple of rertes and intermediate level offs, the captain directed me to copy a convective SIGMET. While listening on a different frequency, I heard the aircraft altitude alert system sound and never simultaneously noticed the altimeter indicating 35300'. The captain was in the process of correcting the deviation and the total time of the deviation was very short. As a crew we were all segmented in our assigned task (eg, traffic watch, copying information, etc). Automated uploading of rertes, sigmets and other pertinent data would reduce workload and increase our vigilance in performing cockpit duties.

Title: LGT OVERSHOT ASSIGNED ALT DURING CLIMB.

Narrative: DURING ENRTE CLB TO FL350, AND AFTER A COUPLE OF RERTES AND INTERMEDIATE LEVEL OFFS, THE CAPT DIRECTED ME TO COPY A CONVECTIVE SIGMET. WHILE LISTENING ON A DIFFERENT FREQ, I HEARD THE ACFT ALT ALERT SYS SOUND AND NEVER SIMULTANEOUSLY NOTICED THE ALTIMETER INDICATING 35300'. THE CAPT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CORRECTING THE DEV AND THE TOTAL TIME OF THE DEV WAS VERY SHORT. AS A CREW WE WERE ALL SEGMENTED IN OUR ASSIGNED TASK (EG, TFC WATCH, COPYING INFO, ETC). AUTOMATED UPLOADING OF RERTES, SIGMETS AND OTHER PERTINENT DATA WOULD REDUCE WORKLOAD AND INCREASE OUR VIGILANCE IN PERFORMING COCKPIT DUTIES.
