Guest was noted with a short face shield only during the compliance walk prior to departure. Apologized to guest. Inquired due to policy change if she had a face mask as a shield alone was no longer sufficient. She said she did and was able to don it.please make everyone happier by catching this prior to boarding. Flight attendants already have tons on [their] plate.
